Ladee's yips:
I know it seems like everyone is more nervous nowadays with all of the humans talking about impending war, and possible terrorism activity, but today is also Valentine's Day. I think it's neat that people in our country can still take time out to share a holiday with loved ones even when they might be a little scared as well. I think that's one neat thing about life, we seem to have our traditions and beliefs and nothing can stop that. I would like to wish all of our friends and family a Happy Valentine's Day and send them all of our love (our daddies express the same heartfelt sentiment).

Woofer's Thoughts:
LAdee has that right! We do like sharing our love with those that mean the most to us, and I think it may even mean more in times like this. I know alot of people make fun of Valentine's Day and say it was created by card companies to selltheir stuff, but I'm happy to report it got it's origins long before Hallmark and it had to do with some of our friends from the animal world. The popular customs associated with Saint Valentine's Day undoubtedly had their origin in a conventional belief generally received in England and France during the Middle Ages, that on 14 February, i.e. half way through the second month of the year, the birds began to pair. Thus in Chaucer's Parliament of Foules we read:
For this was sent on Seynt Valentyne's day Whan every foul cometh ther to choose his mate.

Now I don't have to be from Canterbury to know that fouls are birds and they are from our kingdom. So make sure when you give out your Valentine wishes on this day, not to forget all of your animal friends, because we love you back every day!

Thank you Rick for helping Dylan from "Jersey City, NJ" submit his "rebarks".

Dylan's Comment:
If Valentine's Day means showing the people you care for that you love them and giving them a kiss, then every day is Valentine's Day to me!! I'm not sure why humans wait for one day to show their love....once again, maybe they could learn from us dogs and cats....we love our humans every day. And speaking of love, I want to thank my uncle Tony for helping my daddy take me to the vet yesterday when I got hurt. And, thanks to Uncle Greg for not making a fuss when he had to run out so quick right before babysitting time. I owe you both a few kisses.

Thank you Barbara for helping Che'(pronounced Chay) from "Tampa. FL" submit her "resnorts".

Che's Comment:
I'm upset. Barbara read to me that Dylan got hurt....what happened? Not playing in traffic, I hope....was it because of the snow and ice? I'm worried about you, Dylan, but hoping that things are better now.
