Ladee's yips:
Wow, yesterday afternoon our poppa Greg walked us to the park and there were alot of people digging in the dirt in five different areas. With my keen sense of smell and doggy knowledge, I immediately sensed the presence of some yummy bones. Poppa Greg took us over to one of the areas so we could see better, and I saw the hugest most delicious bone I have ever seen. Poppa Greg started talking to one of the people and they said it was a mammoth bone and so far they had found five different areas in the park that had them. Before poppa Greg knew it I was chewing on the end of it and it was so sweet and aged so nicely. I guess I started squirming with delight because before I knew it, poppa Greg woke me up and said I was whining and moving around. Ugh it was only a dream! Well at least I had a good dream last night. I think it's sad how some people don't think animals are very smart, but our daddies seem to realize that we are, and it's pretty obvious that when we sleep we sometimes have dreams, to me that shows we have some smarts!

Woofer's Thoughts:
Whew Ladee, you threw me for a minute there, I was scared you were down playing at our daddies bar for just a little bit too long yesterday. It is true how sometimes people don't think we're smart. But we obviously know the meaning of words and have good memories. We still look around for our doggie pals when their names are mentioned, even if we haven't seen them for a long time. Daddy Tony said that when they went to see our pal Cleo last week, she went insane with pleasure to see them, their parents say that she never does that except with them, and it had been months since they had seen her. People need to realize that we are pretty smart and we definitely have feelings. We're full of love and just need to be given opportunities to show that as well as our smarts!

Dylan's Comment:
Has someone been saying we're not smart?? Who?? We'll show them how smart we are....! Hey, we're so smart we understand two languages -- English and Dogspeak. Our daddies don't understand two languages....so I guess that makes us smarter than them.

Thank you Anne for helping Cleo from "Craford, NJ" submit her reply.

Cleo's Comment:
I was sooooo happy to see my Uncles Tony and Greg. I happen to agree that we dogs are very intelligent! My mommy talks to me every day and brags about how many words and commands that I understand. I also have an extremely good memory which reminds me that I have been missing Ladee and Woofer very very much. Let's all get together soon!!! P.S. Can Uncle Greg post a picture of me so that when I respond my picture will show or does my daddy Jim have to do that? (Don't tell my mommy, but she is not very computer savvy!).

Dylan's Comment:
Cleo, thanks for writing! You look really cool. Hopefully we can meet someday too and play! PS: I'm not as sissy looking in real life as I am in my picture. That was a while ago, and my hair has grown more since then!
