Ladee's yips:
I knew something was up when Poppa Tony was taking us for our second walk in the morning on Wednesday, and yup, there it was..the dreaded groomer. I guess I knew it was coming, my last haircut for the summer. Little did I know that even though I hate it so much, it really came in handy this time, since we lost all of our power at 4:09pm yesterday and it was sooo hot. Our daddies were at Fetch-It when it happened, and it only was a brown-out there, but here there was nothing at all. I get a little spooked in situations like that, but soon daddy Tony came home and calmed me down. It was so hot and miserable all night, and I could almost hear my doggy food (as well as daddies yummy food that I get scraps from) going bad in the cooler machine. I think most of it will be ok though, because our daddies left them closed for the most part and the power was only gone for about 15 hours.

Woofer's Thoughts:
Leave it to Ladee to only think of herself, and her precious food when there was such an emergency going on. When our daddies came in last night from dinner, it was pitch black...And I mean there was nothing to be seen. Poppa Greg likes oil lanterns so those came in handy and helped to brighten things up a bit. We even carried them with us on our walk around the block. It really was amazing to see how dark it was in and around our home. I'm really glad that even though most of our friends made it home 5 or 6 hours late, that they all made it home (or found somewhere to stay) safely! I think I'll just add this in as another cool memory I experienced.

Dylan's Comment:
Once again, I'm just glad my daddies and I have such great, great friends here who came to rescue me -- I guess they knew that it would get really hot, and that my daddies probably wouldn't be home for hours!!! Thanks Tony, Greg, Woofer, Ladee, and even the cats..who don't really like it when I'm around, but the put up with me!
