Ladee's yips:
Wow, our first article of the new year; It's like we can start off with a brand new slate and write about anything we want to. However, it seems like the same things just keep happening. Yesterday we were laying around enjoying ourselves and we heard an awful crash outside...I started barking but knew what it was, just another traffic accident out on the street. I guess that's not too bad, it waited over a whole day into the new year before it happened again! That's much less frequent than last year. So after I thought about it, I went and took another nap, business as usual.

Woofer's Thoughts:
I thought the same thing as Ladee at first, but I noticed daddy Greg got a little irritated at it, and after our daddy's friend Kathleen called the police and he went and told the people in the cars that the coppers were called, he came back in and did something about it! Ladee doesn't know this yet, but soon we're going to have our very own traffic light in that intersection. Daddy Greg talked to the mayor's office and they said that a study had been done a long time ago on the intersection and it does need a light, but noone expressed concern until now, so they will put one in. Ladee is going to be surprised to see that now we can cross the street without being so scared and maybe our naps won't be interrupted daily by crashing metal! I guess if people start following up on things better, changes can happen!

Dylan's Comment:
Hey, Woofer, I think the traffic light is happening because the Democrats are in charge now in JC instead of the Republicans. I guess Democrats make things happen, and Republicans just let things go.
