I know this doesn't affect some of our faithful readers, but I feel like it must be said, especially since our area just had its first frost last night and it's already snowing upstate. Us dogs (as well as the lower life form of cats), just like people are affected by the weather. I do have a fur coat that's pretty bushy but little Woofer has scraggly hair. Try to make sure that you bundle us up and protect us from the weather. I know our daddies put stuff on our feet in the wintertime to protect us from the cold and salt when we just go out to walk, but some doggies have to stay outside all of the time. If your furry pals stay outside all of the time, please remember them when it's cold outside (or any type of bad weather) and protect them from the elements. We have the same rights as all of you people to live happy and have shelter, but we depend on you for it, so please take care of all of us, like our daddies do!
I couldn't figure out what was going on this morning when I walked outside and started shivering, I didn't know it was already that time of year again, especially since it never even got all that hot this summer. I guess the good thing is, that my daddies will start bringing out all of my tshirts and sweaters and I'll be able to show all the other pets and people outside, just what a smart dressed man should look like!
Yeah! Sweaters! I never really told my daddies I needed a sweater, but they put on on me anyway when it's really cold and snowy! I guess I look cute in them. Oh...who am I kidding...OF COURSE I look cute in them!! Anyone know why Uncle Tony, Uncle Greg and my daddy Rick keep talking about being first this week! Whatever it is, they don't seem to think it will last long, so they are really talking it about it now!
Yeah I heard something about our daddies being in first place, i thin kit has to do with that place they go every tuesday and leave us alone, just to throw balls down an alley? Also just to update my earlier thoughts, I did find a news story to go along with my ideas...On September 23rd, New York Governor George Pataki signed a bill that makes it illegal for dog guardians to leave dogs outside in “inclement weather” without providing adequate shelter. Inclement weather is defined as including, but not limited to rain, sleet, ice, snow or wind, as well as extreme heat and cold. Violators can expect to be fined between $50 and $100 for their first offense and $100 to $200 upon a second violation. | ||||
