After eating lots of turkey and spending time with their friends yesterday, daddy Greg yanked me up and out of bed at 4:30 this morning to go for our walk. Now I wasn't very happy about it, but I went anyway...man it was cold out. Next thing I knew our daddies and their friends all left to go shopping and it was still before 6am and dark and cold out. I'm definitely a little bit confused about why anyone would want to do that, and Dylan told me that his Daddy Rick thought the same as I did, and even though he went, he sure complained alot about it.
Well I have a couple of things to say about Woofer's stuff today. First of all after eating too much turkey, I was ready to get up early and go for our walk. Furthermore, I guess Woofer is losing his memory, because our daddies always get up early and do this on the day after Thanksgiving, and consider it a tradition. I thought it was really neat that friends went with them this year too. They always come home tired, but daddy Tony always carries in alot of packages, and poppa Greg always has alot of rebate forms to fill out for all of the really good buys and free stuff that he got. I think it's a neat holiday tradition and I will continue to get up and walk early to be a part of it! Thank you Rick for helping Dylan from "Jersey City, NJ" submit his "rebarks".
I sure am learning stuff every day. Like, I remember hearing Ladee and Woofer's daddy Greg complaining once that he had to get up SO early to take his friends to the airport. I guess if you get up when it's still dark to go shopping, you're not allowed to complain, but if if you have to get up early to take someone to the airport, it's allowed. I'm starting to understand our daddies a bit better now. Except, I have a complaint....my daddies came back with some packages too, but none were for me! Ladee's reply I think daddy Greg was complaining because he didn't want his friends to leave from the airport...your daddy got up and went shopping and complained about it, just to complain, Dylan and then didn't even buy you anything, next time I guess he'll just stay home with you instead of hanging out with his friends...So I guess you win in the long run anyway! Dylan's reply Ladee, when my daddy Rick came home, he told me all about the shopping trip and showed me the cool stuff he bought including a new digital camera to take lots of pictures of ME! He said he thought people were crazy for getting up that early, and that's not what Christmas should be about, blah blah blah, but I know he had fun....I think what he said was "it was an experience." I also think he figures a new tradition has been started -- to join his new friends on the Friday after Thanksgiving before the sun rises to go find the best deals possible. And, knowing my daddy, part of the tradition will be to complain about it and to make fun of all the people even crazier than they are -- the one's in the FRONT of the line....all in good fun of course! Woofer's reply Yea!! | |||
